Snack on this

I am a firm believer that snacks are for suckers. If I'm hungry, I'm choosing a steak over a Snickers. My mom always says I shouldn't eat such large meals before I go to bed because I'll have nightmares. If all of my dreams turn out like this one I think I'm going to have to go against her advise.

Top 10 Streetwear Sneakers (not just sneakers in general)

Everyone wears something on their feet. But a select few have a passion for footwear to the point of almost an obsession. Sneakers went from function of just wearing something to walk around, to a billion dollar modern art industry. The term sneakerhead usually refers to people in the streetwear culture with a love for sneakers. Classic, exclusive, or eye catching is a few ways to describe most of the shoes in streetwear culture. There is a number of elite sneaks in this culture but this list is of those that stood above the rest as well as sneakers that had a major impact on the streetwear culture. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER...HERE THEY ARE:

Air Jordan III: Jordan is arguably the best basketball player ever, and his shoes are arguably the best basketball sneaks ever. Like most of the early Jordans when released, the IIIs were something never seen before. Classic Jordans always have a place in streetwear and the introduction of the cement print on the IIIs were everywhere! Nah serious, for a while many other sneaks, shirts, shorts even socks had cement print on them because of this shoe; including another heavy hitter, The Supreme Dunks.

Nike Air Foamposite One: The Pennys. The "Foams" look crazy. When they first dropped they almost looked futuristic. This is a basketball shoe that gave people another option other than Jordans on and off the court. They have come out in head turning colorways since their original release and will always be a classic in streetwear culture.

Nike Dunk SB "Pigeons": This was one of those sneakers that brought back the early 90s Jordan type havoc in big cities over a shoe. In 2005, this skateboard shoe had people camped outside for days, and once released; fights, robberies and riots broke out. Over a shoe. Crazy.

Bathing Ape: This is a shoe a lot of people might not have liked. It essentially is a pair of expensive Air Forces. But the impact of the sneaker was monumental for streetwear. If it wasn't for this sneaker, the whole Bape craze might not have happened. This shoe sparked a trend where people were buying $100 screen print cotton t-shirts, and hoodies that zipped all the way up like a body bag.

Nike Yeezys: Kanye West is one of the biggest artist in the world, as well as a huge fashion enthusiast. He was first recognized in the streetwear culture before the world found out about Mr. West. His signature shoe with Nike was more than just an artist collaboration, it is almost as if he actually plays professional basketball and they gave him his own shoe. That's sick in itself, but to top it off the sneak glows in the dark.

Nike SB Supreme Blazer: In the mix of a bunch of classic dunks, nike collaborated with Supreme to create a staple in streetwear culture. The Blazer, a shoe originally for basketball became a popular style in streetwear, and none more elite than the Supreme Blazer. The simplicity style of the shoe is almost regal. The quilted leather like a Chanel bag, red and green Gucci pattern on the back, snakeskin Nike check, and a gold buckle to make my cypher complete, what more can I say Guru play the beat!

Nike Dunk "FLOM": F.L.O.M.-For the Love of Money. Futura designed shoe, only 24 created. This sneaker is for sale on Ebay for $9500...need I say more? How bout you can buy this house in Detroit for less than that. Boom.

Vans: Vans makes the list for bringing the laid back west coast style everywhere. Skateboarding is a huge influence in streetwear culture and Vans have been popular in skateboarding since its origin. Mainly right now the Canvas Authentic shoe, but from the W Tap Chukkas to the Japan Sk8 Hi's, Vans maintains a elite spot in streetwear by just keeping it simple.

Nike Dunk SB "Tiffanys": One of the most well known SBs among sneakerheads, the Tiffany's is just a beautiful shoe. Designed inspired by the jewelry story, the shoe has the Aqua colorway, as well as black crocodile print. This shoe was also responsible for me becoming a hypebeast. I felt just like the guy in this video.

Nike Air Max 1 "Kidrobot": Nike and Barneys New York collaborated with toy art company Kidrobot to produce a limited edition Nike Air Max 1 exclusively for Barneys New York. It is a very exclusive shoe and you have to be in the know to really get the hype. The shoe design is inspired by the 1986 Maserati Quattroporte III Royale and currently for sale on flightclub.com for $1400.

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Air Jordan IV Undftd: very expensive and exclusive, Air Max I "Amsterdam": one of the most popular yet exclusive air max, Adidas Superstars "Shelltops": Not really a streetwear shoe but thanks to Run DMC opening the door, sneaker companies collaborate with celebrities giving the opportunity for Questlove air forces Is and Pharrell Nike Dunks, Nike Dunk "Paris": selling for $4500, Nike Air Force 180 "Union": Another style basketball shoe, crazy design, very exclusive

Too Far

Every now and then you come across something that is slightly racist, but still worthy of a chuckle. It's a fine line that very few are able to toe. The likes of Archie Bunker and George Jefferson did it well, but this guy named Gary took it too far with this commercial.

Hey F#ck you..Really... F#ck You

We always thought it to ourselves. Now we have a theme song. If you get fired, have to deal with a rude person in the drive through window, get dumped, or have to call an automated phone number, just hum this tune by Cee Lo.

SPORTS: Rajon Rondo - Turning Heads and Changing Opinions

The 2010-2011 NBA season may go down as the Year of Change for me. The Cavs are no longer my pick to represent the East in the Finals, LeBron is no longer my favorite player and Allen Iverson has officially become irrelevant. There is one thing however that I thought would never change..my dislike of Rajon Rondo. In just week one of this season he has managed to change an opinion that I have held since he was a rookie coming out of the University of Kentucky.

Rondo was placed in a great situation to succeed early in his career. He was the beneficiary of the perfect storm in which he would run the point for the Big Three of Pierce, Garnett and Ray Allen in their first season. Sure he was the starting point guard for the NBA Champion Celtics in only his second year in the league, but with three future Hall of Famers on the squad Teen Wolf could have played point guard. His trademark “fake” behind the back pass gets an Ohh and Ahh every now and then, but how long can a move suitable for the Globetrotters season opener be used as a primary weapon in the NBA? Not too mention he couldn’t make the cut on a USA Basketball team this summer that was begging for leadership at the point guard position after Jason Kidd’s retirement from international play. And on a personal note he’s renowned roller skater. That doesn’t quite make him as cool as Chris Paul or Derrick Rose. Hell even Steve Nash, the soccer sensation, seems cooler. With all of this being said Rondo has proven that the old saying holds even against my hard nosed opinion.. As long as you perform well nothing else matters. And he has done just that since October 29,2010.

Three games into the season Rajon Rondo is averaging 10 ppg, 6 rebounds, and an astounding 16.7 assist. His fifty assist thus far is tied for first in NBA history with John Stockton for most assist in the first three games of the NBA season. His shining moment came in a 105-101 win against the Knicks in which he dropped ten points, nabbed ten rebounds and racked up a Magic Johnson-esque 24 assists. The Big Three that once carried him to an NBA Championship is now three years older and putting the weight on Rondo’s shoulders. To add icing to the cake, after achieving the triple-double, Rondo spent most of his post game interview discussing how he had to correct the seven turnovers he had during the game. Even I had to forget about the roller skates and take back my Teen Wolf comment.

So three games in, Rondo has my utmost respect. He’s proven that he can play his roll as well as be the leader. He’s gained the confidence of the most veteran squad in the NBA and proves that he deserves it on a nightly basis with his decision making. Rajon Rondo has forced me to write my editorial apology to all Celtics fans. What a way to bring in the Year of Change. Maybe after 82 games he will transition from earning my respect to earning my vote as one of the games elite point guards for years to come.

Drinking Day N Night

I'll be heading to Atlanta this weekend. It will be my first trip down south. Sad to say, but I've never been. I don't have family down there like most black people. Maybe it's my freckles. Legend has it that my great grand father left South Carolina in a hurry for good reason and never looked back. I think the statute of limitations for any crimes or injustices that took place a few decades ago has passed by now. I'm going to take my chances, eat my face off, and with any luck, get an old family friend as drunk as Kid Cudi.

With any luck, I'll have fun all Day N Night.

Piss on Week 11.1.10

Warning!! No one in the following blog post is actually being pissed on. It is simply an expression meant to discribe how outrageous and unforgiveable the actions of the following people really are. Anyone who fines this segment offensive has the right and the duty to be pissed on as well.

Sinceely,

Professional Rationalist

8.Athletic Propulsion Labs

These basketball shoes were banned from the NBA because they give practically anyone with legs the ability to dunk a basketball.

They get pissed on for not being there for Billy Hoyle in White Men Can’t Jump.

7. Kanye West

I get it, you have enough money to do whatever you want Kanye. But getting your teeth removed and replaced with diamonds is going too far.

6. Eva Longoria

I don’t care how sexy she is, retarded rap videos like this one gets Mrs. Longoria pissed on.

5. Ryan Howard

Howard struck out to end the Phillies’ hopes of going to the World Series without taking the bat off of his shoulders. Going down like that sure won’t get you to the big game, but it will definitely give you the business on this week’s list.

4. T.I.

Did T.I. not learn his lesson from his last stint with the law? Apparently not because he has been sentenced to 11 months in prison for being in possession of Ecstasy pills.

He gets the business for not being home long enough to watch the seasons change.

3. Alicia Tolton

This woman faked cancer so that she could throw a fundraiser and keep the cash.

I think she should be lucky that she’s just getting pissed on.

2. Brett Favre

Favre has been accused of sending naked pictures of himself to an employee of the New York Jets. People barely want to see him play football.

I think he deserves the business for thinking that someone wanted to see a grandpop naked.

1. Explaining Halloween Costumes

If someone has to ask, “Who are you supposed to be?” not only should you not where it but you will also be pissed on.
