Now that the Super Bowl is set, the nation can decide if it will become cheese heads or if they will be singing black and yellow. However, there won’t be much debate when it comes to Super Bowl Sunday’s real big game, The Puppy Bowl, where in my opinion, everyone wins. I always wanted a dog. As a kid, I noticed that many of the characters that I was enamored with on television had trustworthy dogs at their side. Asto, the Deputy Dog, Snoopy, Odie, and Scooby Doo all would have taken my childhood to another level. I would daydream about playing fetch with my dog, having him or her bring me the newspaper, wrestle with it in the snow, and sleep with it at my side. Then reality set in. I realized that I would have to walk it in inclement weather, pick up its shit, my full sized bed wasn’t going to be able to hold us both, and living in a row house in a city made having a cat much more realistic. While they may be a pain at times, the nation will collectively, “AWWWWW” as one puppy after another makes big plays in this year’s Puppy Bowl.
